Well, here we are again.
I’m going to cut right to the chase here by informing you of the news that was brought to my attention this morning: the Licking County Board of Elections consulted their legal counsel and discovered that while I was not certified to the ballot for the primary as a write-in candidate for the Democratic Nomination for Mayor of Newark, and while that precludes me from running as an Independent Candidate for the same office, I am allowed to re-file as a Write In Candidate for Mayor for the General Election in November.
And that is exactly what I intend to do.
This campaign will be even harder to succeed than it would have been had I succeeded in getting nominated to be on the ballot in November, but that will not deter me from taking on this challenge.
The people of Newark deserve to have a choice in November. Mayor Hall will NOT win an unprecedented term by default.
It’s time to send a message to those in power. We are back on for this election.
Spread the word. Onward.
